Title: Canberra WK163
Post by: DD1975 on February 02, 2017, 21:58:20 PM
After the previous post on Vulcan XH558 I found this great article on the Canberra now owned by the Vulcan to the sky trust.

I should mention that my father was a radar technician (ground crew) on Canberra's during the 50's so these aircraft hold a rather special place in my fascination of all thing flying

hopefully the dream to put her back where she belongs gets back on track.

Nice plane. We used to have one of those flying around locally in Mid Norfolk. Very low too, just above the trees - it was a smaller town then in the 80s and less people to complain !

He was on national service at the time Data.

They helped train Indian crews on the Canberra, apparently they had trouble working out the radar set had 2 on switches
