Now I know this is anm old article, but it's the first time I have come across this idea, and it is a pretty good one too!

This is new to me also. Never seen an airship/plane.

It's an amazing concept, the article was 2004 though and as we've heard nothing else since it's either died a death or someone is working on it on the quiet

This is where in my opinion they should build a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for those who don't already know that) as a proof of concept craft to see how well it works in practice.

Lets face it, it would be a fraction of the cost of building a full scale craft, and computer modelling will only tell you so much and even then only within the progamming parameters (the main problem with global warming computer models but thats a whole different story!!!!)

Down to the will and the money, I guess.

If you build a better climate computer model, it would have to be so powerful that it would add to global warming.
