Still watching the EV news and Electric Cars to try to keep up with new developments, the US seems to be so far behind I wonder why I do it.

One of the best things about the internet is that we no longer have to rely on what our TV's, politicians and companies with an agenda tell us, we can see what other countries/people are actually doing and read up on the science, it feels like we have all been fed BS for many years and now we have the chance to finally get some facts and act on them.

I hope we can all get a bit wiser, filter the facts from the BS and do what's right for the future of mankind.

I've been noticing the internet is filled with advertising,  it's like how may advertisement can you put on this page.  It's always interesting to see how many sites you've  been to that now have ad's to put in front of you.  The same science that brings us improved products is also used to promote ads to help sell us a useless product.

The new Leaf is really taking off over here then  :)

I went to my local Nissan dealer last week for a rapid charge and was a little surprised to see they didn't have any new Leaf in the showroom, I asked the dealer why and they said they can't get them quick enough, as soon as they arrive from Nissan they get sold.

QuoteA new Nissan Leaf sold every 10 minutes as total Leaf sales reach 100,000 across Europe

QuoteEuropean Nissan LEAF customers have now driven over 2 billion kilometres and saved over 300,000 tonnes of CO2. They also boast a 92% customer satisfaction rate – more than any other Nissan model.

Leaf sold every 10 minutes

This is worth watching, putting the I-Pace through it's paces.

Just watched that this morning. I thought it was pretty amazing how the car handled the steep, soft dirt incline.

Did you know that the first car to go over 100km/h was fully electric ?

And in 1899 too...

Freddy, that is a really nice find and thanks for posting it  :)

So BP have purchased Chargemaster (one of the biggest electric car charging companies in the UK).

Call me a cynic but I don't exactly trust the oil companies, I want to believe that BP will do their best to promote the use of electric cars but will they  :scratch-head:

BP are basically going in to direct competition with themselves, I ask myself a question, have BP seen the light and realised that EV's are the future or are they going to kill off Chargemaster by slowly increasing prices of electricity until it's no longer cost effective to run an EV.

For now I will just keep an eye on them and do the vast majority of my charging at home for 15p per kWh.

Robot from Fully Charged seems to think it's all good.
