It WILL be fine !...

Safe, Reliable Insanity, Since 1961!

Data

I liked that version Dave posted, never heard it before,  gets ya tapping ya toes, and the Clash version, always a classic.

I've had a bit of a think about my next one and have decided to move back to the 70's.

I could stay home every night
                                                       Wait around for Mister Right.

Depending on your age, but I think this is fairly easy. :D

No cheating now!!!.

This actually harp's back to a time when the Female Dictator and I first got together. If I knew then what I know now. :'( However, it is our Pearl Wedding Anniversary this year, so, to be honest, it's not all that bad and I have permission to say that.

#184
Movie: Grease
Song: There are Worse Things I Could Do
Artist: Stockard Channing

I didn't need to google this one. I love this movie! :)

[edit] I just noticed that the splash for the video even carries the second stanza. How cool is that? [/edit]

Are we waiting on a new song? Because if so, I'm still waiting on confirmation. :P

Or am I just being slightly impatient?
Safe, Reliable Insanity, Since 1961!

Snowcrash

Go ahead. It looked right to me.
"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

DaveMorton

This one should be fairly easy, depending on how popular MTV was, back in 1979, there in the UK:

They took the credit for your second symphony.
Rewritten by machine and new technology,
and now I understand the problems you can see.
Safe, Reliable Insanity, Since 1961!

I know this one, no cheat needed, yes fairly easy, and a classic  :)

Buggles - Video killed the radio star

Will think of another soon.

DaveMorton

Yup! Score one for Data! :D

Interestingly, this was the very first music video aired on MTV, which made it's debut on August 1st, 1981 (funny, I had thought it had first aired in 1979. Silly Dave!)

I've found a few places that list the lyrics for one hit wonders, so be warned! They're gonna get harder. :P

Incidentally, Data, that video is a later re-make. Below is the original, with a link to the actual MTV debut below it:

Awww I would have got that one.  Great song.

Data

Here's a classic:

Some may say
I'm wishing my days away
No way

Snowcrash

Tomorrow's another day.

Great song about being stoned, apparently.

The Police, Walking on the Moon. Found this live version.

"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

DaveMorton

Well done, Snowy! :)

That one was just itching the back of my brain, but I couldn't quite bring up the song from memory. Maybe too much "walking on the moon"? :P

This is an American artist/band I do believe.

Hey you, are you trying to be mean?
If you live with apes man, it's hard to be clean.
