A few days ago, a friend of mine shared a picture on Facebook of this person who was making a mural of Martin Luther King Jr. out of thousands of Rubik's Cubes. Well, I thought that was really cool, but I didn't have the money to buy thousands of Rubik's Cubes, so I decided to use a web page as my medium, and get others to participate, as well. Thus, I created this:

Feedback is most welcome. :)

That came out really great Dave, Great job. Think I'll make a new desktop image out of the an uploaded result :D

DaveMorton

I think I may also make a gallery page of all the uploaded images (well, the ones that aren't porn, that is) for public display.

Whooah...a psychic connection  :o

Neat idea Dave and the gallery sounds good too, looking forward to that

DaveMorton

In order for the gallery to be successful, there will need to be quite a large collection of images uploaded, so there will be a nice selection to choose from.

Ok, folks! I've got the rough draft of the gallery page uploaded, and it's ready for testing. check out http://www.geekcavecreations.com/RubiksCubeArt/gallery.php and see what you think.

WARNING!!! Someone posted some images of anime girls, and while it's NOT porn, it may still be offensive to others, and it's to be considered NFS/NSFW... You've been warned! :P

I love it Dave, been looking through the pics that were up-loaded, Mutley is the boss of that lot  :D

I don't want to go to off topic but I had a look at your main site and it seems to be a little broken for me, the rounded corners have gone and I can't scroll the site to see the bottom of the pages. Using IE9

DaveMorton

Using IE9 in which mode? It looks just fine for me in IE9, and I'm in IE9 browser mode, and IE9 Standards Document mode. :)

I haven't altered IE 9's mode at all, it is in default.

Browser and Document modes are both set to IE9

DaveMorton

Very strange. Perhaps we should both clear our caches, and see which one notices a difference? :P

I have my cache clear every time I close the browser, but right now I have a job to go to, will have to have a play later.

Sorry about that Dave. My daughter is an anime nut and sent it to me plus the wild motorcycle added to the scene.
It was the only image that I could find in the moment.
If people are really offended by it, I apologize. If they wanted, I'm sure they would be able to find more perverse images on their own. While anime is NOT bad, there are always some who will be offended. I suppose many of Micheangelo's statues are equally offensive to some!! pity....

If it bothered YOU, then you should have sent me a message to that effect and withdrawn it. No where in you original posting did you mention that the images would be or werre to be saved and posted for public consumption! We usually call that a disclaimer.

Good day!

DaveMorton

Anime? BOTHER ME? OMG, what a good laugh! I loved the images, and added them to my collection! My personal feeling is that people are too easily offended these days, and should learn to suck it up, walk it off, or any number of other trite catch-phrases or clichés you care to apply. No, in fact, if you have more, please feel free to upload them, too. :) I've warned the squeamish, so they can live with it. :P
