Synthesia: Life-like Avatars

On the sites demo it looks easily good enough to fool us into thinking it's a real person.

Yeah, pretty impressive.

It's for a rendered video; I don't think we have that quality for an avatar working live, say in UltraHal, but I might be wrong; I haven't kept up.

In case some haven't been aware of or following Dr. Alan THompson's work, this has been quite an amazing series of his to date.

This one is from a few months back but has some good and interesting content.

He is using one of the many avatars from Synthesia. They are definitely becoming more lifelike.

They mainly provide characters with which to create various videos, usually scripted to some degree. Not like UltraHal & Haptek.

I did a bit of research and found some links that might be of interest...or not...

One that I think has the most lifelike/realistic characters is Reallusion. They have certainly improved a great deal in the past few years...
