I thought I would start this topic in an effort to see just how boring a website can be.
I put forward this little gem for your appreciation...be sure to check out the gallery and drool...
The Pylon Appreciation Society (http://www.pylons.org/)
Good idea Freddy, I'm a big fan of the Sutro Tower in San Francisco for many years. I think this thing is fascinating.

What!?!?!?..."Anyone can become a member of The Pylon Appreciation Society for just £15"...
Try this on for size, unbelievable.
http://lamp-fan.com/brighton-lamp-posts (http://lamp-fan.com/brighton-lamp-posts)
Given that nearly all the old cast iron posts have been removed due to safety issues and replaced with plastic replicas, I think someone needs to get out more. :P
QuoteLamp Post Fans all over the world unite!
That's all of what?
three people??? :P
I'm not sure about boring but here is a link to the site that is number one on google for "crap site".
http://www.crapsite.net/ (http://www.crapsite.net/)
It looks like the site is under construction but I think that is probably the point and such a nice and original graphic too.
The pylon society is so boring the link doesn't seem to work.......maybe it died of boredom :P

Oh yes the site has gone, must have been too boring for the host provider too
That's strange about the site disappearing like that, very odd :scratch-head:
Who said train spotting was boring......I expect this fella needed a new pair of underpants after this anorak moment:

My God, that was frighteningly close - that was his lucky day :o
Your not kidding, I feel for the driver of the express train he must have been having a heart attack!!!
If you want to know EVERYTHING about Sutro Tower:
http://www.sutrotower.org/ (http://www.sutrotower.org/)
I know, I'm afraid I'm more passionnate by Sutro Tower than by Formula ONE.
Oh, at least just one word about the last GP today: WOW !!!
(that was our first Two-in-One thread)
Truly a marvel GT :D
Seeing as I got so slated for posting an attempt at humour over in random vids (that failed miserably), I thought I would try my luck on this topic.
Here is nice little site, where you can watch grass grow from the comfort of a beautiful and tastefully laid out website.
http://www.watching-grass-grow.com/ (http://www.watching-grass-grow.com/)
Since 2003. With a million hits since 2005. Wow

I'm not surprised the site is on a list of the top 10 ...
Classy site
Actually Data, I did appreciate your 'so-bad-it's-good' posts in the music thread :D
Oh and good to see that the pylon site is back on-line, I was getting worried there.
Ohh - just saw two people collect the mail on the grass site
Some other testimonies from Sutro fans:

(I'm afraid Sutro Tower is now the last part of my American Dream) :D
I have a new contender....the Roandabout appreciation society:

A Quality item there ;D
Just found another quality site for this thread.
Bollards of London
http://www.bollardsoflondon.co.uk/ (http://www.bollardsoflondon.co.uk/)
What a load of old bollards
Totally agree, there's someone who definitely needs to stay in more. :-\
Well, it started off pretty cool, with that rather graphic image of that bollocks... Er... Bollard... sticking through that cartoon person's chest, but then it got rather uninteresting, rather quickly.
That is..........you know what I can't even find a description it's that uniteresting :-X
Now personally I've found this one quite interesting as I love military history, however I can see that a lot of people would find this pretty boring:
http://www.pillbox.org.uk/index.asp (http://www.pillbox.org.uk/index.asp)
That's not boring to me either. We used to play in Pill Boxes. And funnily enough yesterday Dad and me were looking at photos of one on the beach where my Grandad shot off a load of rounds because he thought someone was out there.
I remember checking out the pillboxes at cuckmere haven when i was a kid.......didn't go in tyhem thjough they stank from being used as a latrine
I think this guy is a bit on the mad side though, he has spent 7 years mapping out all the defenses in east sussex including slit trenches.....in hios spare time!!!!
On the plus side he will be publishing a book at some point :D
Nor me actually, having lived in East Sussex all my life, these things are interesting to follow. I also remember playing on, not in, Pill Box's over at Shoreham Airport as a kid, trying to imagine what it must have been like to Man on of these. 8)
In that case check out the video on the website, he's shown how the bren and vickers were mounted in them Diesel

I have fond memories of the same pill boxes at Shoreham. I also remember jumping over the drainage ditch and stepping back into it. Ewww. Smelly stagnant water with black mud.
OK I have a new contender for the title and I suspect this one wiull be hard to beat ;D
http://www.watching-grass-grow.com/ (http://www.watching-grass-grow.com/)
 DD, if you look back to page one of this thread you will see I already posted that one.
Glad we agree :D
Doh!!! :Head-Slap:
Still great minds and all that ;D
This one might just be trying too hard.......
http://www.worldsmostboringwebsite.com/ (http://www.worldsmostboringwebsite.com/)
I agree there trying to hard.
But it definately IS boring :P

Breaking news: New contender for worlds most boring website
http://www.trafficcone.com/ (http://www.trafficcone.com/)
If it were not for the tongue in cheek I would vote this one up
QuoteAs the climate changed and dinosaurs disappeared, cones became smaller.
I actually found the site to be rather entertaining, first time through. Wouldn't want to do it again, though. :P
