How about the fact that the electric motor, inverter, transmission, and differential are all housed in one miniaturized electric drive unit that weighs just 163lb (74kg) and packs over 650hp.

That's impressive!

Toyota should have kept their initial investment in Tesla as that stock's value would have multiplied by a ridiculous amount! 20/20 hindsight as they say.

Those at Toyota are said to be a rather stubborn bunch with regard to their business model and practices. Such a posture might leave them in the dust.
