I stumbled across this little gem:

The Computer Programme (11th Jan 1982)

It's well worth watching if you get the time, many of their predictions have come true.

I was a teenager at the time and remember watching these programs.

After the previous post on Vulcan XH558 I found this great article on the Canberra now owned by the Vulcan to the sky trust.

I should mention that my father was a radar technician (ground crew) on Canberra's during the 50's so these aircraft hold a rather special place in my fascination of all thing flying

hopefully the dream to put her back where she belongs gets back on track.

Firstly, this is for discussion purposes only. Please understand, I make no recommendations here.

The IBM Thinkpad A31 system specifications say the maximum RAM is 512MB.

But, I read online, that (undocumented) with the right chips it will support 2 gigabytes of RAM.

So, I decided to take a minor risk and order 2 x 1GB chips at a discount price of $8 dollars.

Well, my friends, the RAM chips arrived from China today, so I am excited to try them out.

Due to, frankly, some monumentally poor decision making less than a year from retiring from the airshow circuit Vulcan XH558 is now being put into storage at its current home of Doncaster/Sheffield Airport.

The wrong final home appears to have been chosen for this British icon, hopefully she will survive this and remain on display but it wouldn't be the first time a Vulcan has ended up on the scrapheap in this manner.

This also affects the recordbreaking Canberra purchased by the trust just last year and intended to be returned to flight by 2018.

I've often wondered about this ever since seeing Data's Dad's medication.

Data, you could have fun with your dad at the airport. :D
