Been a while since we've had anything to post in here so nice to be able to post something goo.

This is pretty darn cool:

Till yesterday, I had an odd thing on my Win 8.1 netbook. Every time I used it on the internet, I got a vocal message saying that my computer has a virus and I must call a telephone number to solve that problem. And sometimes a blue screen!

No positive result with Avast. Then I tried Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It found a lot of malwares on my PC and now, the problem is over. Only a small and short popup when a "virus" appears. Thank you MBAM!

I'm slowly learning Windows 10 with my new little desktop. And I've discovered some "anomalies".

FIRST STRANGE THING: THE BACKGROUND.

Yesterday I changed the background (not a personal photo but one of the default backgrounds of Win 10).

When I turned on my small laptop/tablet in my bed (under Win 8.1, the PC, not the bed), some hours later, surprise, wow, oops, WTF: the background was changed!
The same background I'd installed on my desktop!

No problem, I like that image but I don't understand. Perhaps (sure, no doubt) Windows is smarter than I am... :o

Intel will be releasing a 10 core CPU this year, based on the Broadwell architecture but the chip will fully support the X99 chip-set motherboards.

Yes it's probably going to be way out of most people price range but it's nice to keep up-to-date with what's going on.

I finally found the software to install a webcam which has been laying around a few years. I installed the software and it put in updates that took an hour to download and install. It has additional software for facial recognition which I installed after playing with the webcam awhile. Anyways the facial software wanted a password I don't have and would not proceed to the next step. I believe what has happened is the facial
software will not let me in the win 8.1 setup with user name Carl_2 , I can not get to the user name Carl which is what I'd been using. So I have a different desktop and most of the program shortcuts are gone.
Maybe if I use control panel and remove the facial software.

Dell has produced the first 4K OLED 30" monitor. A snip at US$5,000. It looks like the OLED panel is made by LG and the manufacture of these things is getting more cost effective. The price and size of these screens should reach affordable soon.
