I've been going through my old MP3's and adding the new tags and artwork to them, found this nice little free, stand alone program if anyone is interested.

I love it when a simple idea gets put into practice. I'm off to pledge in the kickstarter.

Keep having problems with the windows backup tool so went looking for an alternative.

Found this : http://www.freefilesync.org/

Seems to work quite well. You can sync two folders - so I just synced my user folder with all my stuff in to a backup drive. It can be automated too, but I chose to use a batch file that I run every now and then.

You can compare the two folders too, so you can see what's old/new if you need to.

Got fed up with the 10 Mail app, the bundled apps with 10 have been pretty poor in my opinion, that's about the only gripe I have with it. Luckily there's plenty of choices out there.

I'm using this now, it's a new slant on email and I think it looks nice and works well.

For my next attempt at getting published at Daz I decided to make a lot of kitchen or pantry items.

Since the strange lack of updates for Fraps (it does not work on 10) I went looking for an alternative.

Having learnt my lesson before I felt commercial ones were the safest bet - CamStudio, Debut and many others install malware or a lot of junk.

Anyway, found this : http://www.bandicam.com/

It's $39 or about £25.

I haven't bought it yet - I'm trying out the demo.

So far I've only used it to help make that video about TalkTalk. But the screen recorder works well and will also record audio. It worked fine with the sound card and video card. You can capture a region on the screen easily, which is what I needed.

I've yet to try out the game recording, but thought others may be interested in it.

I came across this video and thought it worth posting, have a look at the dual PCIe expansion card, I believe it is running two SSD's in RAID.

The video is almost a year old already but is using the X99 chipset with an 8 core i7 E.
