Researchers from Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign were able to 3D print  lithium-ion microbatteries –  the size of a grain of sand. This will have a tremendous impact on the advancement of tiny devices in the field of robotics, medicine and communications.
