Interesting this, this guy claims to be re-inventing the wheel. To me it looks the same as any other wheel I've seen, round.

What bothers me with this idea though is the fact that a highly engineered design, the Alloy Wheel, has had a load of holes drilled into it. What has that done to the integrity of the overall wheel design and load bearing capacity?. One other thing that springs to mind, how is the tread held in place ?.

If the tread is bonded, once it has worn out, replacement would make this idea cost prohibative surely.
It WILL be fine !...

I found that same video while poking around after viewing the other tire post, and several things bother me about the claims in this one. For one thing, the concept that the gentleman is trying to put forth about the wheel "having more energy at the top", making it easier to roll just smacks of a high tech "Rube Goldberg" perpetual motion device. Despite all of the Youtube videos, perpetual motion and "free energy" are illusions, and so is this.

Secondly, as Diesel pointed out, how expensive will these be to replace, once the tread wears out? I think it's gonna be a bit more than a few quid. :(

I could not help but laugh throughout this video.

I pity the poor guy that buys these and hit a pot-hole  :P

As Shakespeare once said..."A wheel by any other name would be as round!"

OK...umm...maybe he didn't quite say it that way...

Alright!! He didn't say it at all!

He just hopped into his McLaren F1 and sped off...perchance to dream.... :D

Snowcrash

tut.

Everyone knows it's "a wheel by any other name would smell just as rubbery"

Never much cared for Shakespeare. His over-inflated sense of importance left me a bit flat. :P
