I just saw the video headline about "Clever Crows"
Smart little devils, arn't they.
Reminded me of the robot crows on TuboSquid.

On 3rd day there I discovered there was more than women.  ;)

All of the crow family (magpie, jay, rook etc) have long (for a bird) chickhood. Normally an indicator of inteligence.

The best behaviour I've heard of is when one of them has an unfortunate accident and dies early.
The others in it's family/troop hang around for hours bringing gifts/tokens like fresh grass.
This is akin to greaving and shows they have a sense of death and miss their fellows.

I wasn't sure if people out side the UK could view those videos, good to know.

Great videos.  Reminds me of the crows that had learnt to drop tough nuts on the road so that they were crushed by passing cars.

Amazing birds :)

The only time I find crows annoying is when they have an argument with the seagulls outside my bedroom window at 5 a.m.

I live next to a 7 story building and when there's a fair wind up it's great watching the crows and seagulls (technically herring gulls, big ones with the red bit on their beak) ridge soaring and flying by each other. I assume they do it for fun 'cos they're not gonna get any food or a mate doing it.

I'll try and get a photo / video next time they do it.
