Lots of good offerings in this video...

Like this channel and have subscribed. Nice find, thanks.

On a lighter note, here's how to make spot dance...

and more about spot. I want one.

I'm with you Snowy! I'd love to have one as well!

Boston Dynamics would be a great company in which to own a few shares of stock.

My luck...I'd put a bunch of money in their stock, then there'd be a robot uprising and my stocks would become worthless!

<Poof> just a bad dream... :scratch-head:

And comes with this caveat...

I don't think my toys budget stretches that far.  :-\

Snowy,

I found one for only $10,000!! I know you have that much in your sock drawer!

You can now be a proud owner of A1...no...not the Steak Sauce, but Unitree's A1 robotic dog that is something of a work-alike to the BD's Spot.

Art

I also found these pretty cool cheetahs from M.I.T. but of course, we'd expect to find something robotic there!
I didn't notice that they were for sale but this might just be a testing phase.

I do think the robotic "dog" varieties are going to be around for quite a while!

Data

These little robots give off some body language, especially when they do that little jumping up and down thing, they look excited to be alive, it's like your brain is trying to work out if they are an animal or a machine. very cool tech 8)

Art

Cute for sure but I replayed the video and noticed that these robots are at the moment, radio-controlled and not capable of autonomous behavior as in the Boston Dynamics Spot robot.

Of course, these were built under funding from the University I doubt if the cameras and vision modules/software were in the budget at the time of build.

Then again, perhaps someone will enlighten a bit more.

Spot has a controller too. You command it to move forward only though, and it works out how to move forward and avoid obstacles and keep balance etc. I assume there is some degree of self autonomy even with the small ones.
