Title: How Long Will It Take
Post by: Diesel on June 28, 2013, 15:05:03 PM
Here's a little bit of fun. Voyager 1 is about to leave our Solar System (ish). Here's a calculator designed to inform you of how long it would take to reach those outer limits using your vehicle of choice.

Not something you would want to use for a "quick trip" to the chemist, though. :P

I rather suspect you might be in danger of becoming chemistry if you tried to go at that speed Dave  :D

Voyager is only (he says) going at 19km/s. Light speed is nearly 300,000 km/s. It's the acceleration that makes you chemistry. And maybe the radiation.

Space, big isn't it.
