Title: Soft Landing
Post by: Snowcrash on June 11, 2014, 00:07:52 AM
Found an interesting article on BABlog (http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astronomy/2014/06/08/back_to_earth_how_astronauts_get_back_from_the_space_station.html).

It's about a Soyuz re entry from the ISS.

The scene of the thing just before it "touches down" (read: "slams into the ground") looks like sitting in a wine barrel with a stick or two of TNT under it; especially when you couple it with the view of what went on inside as it hit. :o
