Title: Warp Drive, Anyone?
Post by: DaveMorton on June 29, 2013, 03:14:59 AM
Syber found this, and found it worth sharing. I read the article, and feel the same. :D

Wow, good find chaps

"The findings I presented today change it from impractical to plausible and worth further investigation," Dr. White tells Space.com. "The additional energy reduction realized by oscillating the bubble intensity is an interesting conjecture that we will enjoy looking at in the lab."

That will be as long as it doesn't go horribly wrong and the lab and it's inhabitants cease to inhabit the same space time as the rest of us  :sign-evil-laugh:

Had to laugh at the notion of using a condom to illustrate a concept of quantum mechanics. Still, the math involved is sound, and while it probably won't happen in my lifetime, or even those of my kids and grandkids, I'm more convinced than ever that the Human race will, in time, travel the stars, rahter than just the solar system. Great find, Data. Well done.

Glad you liked it Dave  :) it was a good find and I agree with you, one day man will travel among the stars, it's just a matter of time and space  :D
