Anyone know what is the future of this pretty craft, did it get canceled due to the f-22?

The YF-23 was in drect competition with the YF-22 and a number of other aircraft for the ATF (Advanced Tatical Fighter) programme.

While the YF-23 was steltier and actaully faster that the F-22, the Raptor is more agile which swung the competition in it ffavour.

Thanks great video and wiki article, I think they should of built both, the yf 22 and the yf 23 this way the could have best of both I guess the government does not think like that though.

I doubt any government would Syber, I know ours wouldn't!!!!

To be fair they look at the fact that one aircraft is more expensive to buy, more expensive to service and isn't as agile as its cheaper alternative and the bean counters have enough informaton to make
their choice
