I have been doing some more work on the online gamebook system I made some time ago. Currently I have a free to play tutorial called Inns & Outs - it's a short 25 section game book. All the bookkeeping is done by the game but it follows the same rules as my existing gamebooks.

Currently I am working on a new adventure that will be free to play. Expect that later in the year :)

I got into the 3D printing hobby a couple years ago myself, My 3d printer is a Bambu Labs ps1 with ams unit for multicolor printing, My mom and I loved it so bought my mom a bambu labs A1 which is a bed slinger and a A1 mini.

I like printing with the multi color PLA silks, I only used PLA so far, but I got a couple rolls of ASA to play with.

biggest project was a 5 foot robot, ill have to get some pictures up but you can see 1of my projects on my moms website here CoteFineArts.com she's working on the site slowly

I am not affiliated with any manufacture of 3D printers and this is just my opinion from the 3 years I've been printing.

I own a Creality Ender 3 Neo which is still going strong but is no longer available as the technology has moved on considerably in the 3 years.

I will cover FDM printers first. There are 2 main variations being X-Y axis and bed slingers. Most X-Y axis printers come with enclosures and are more expensive. The print head moves in the X an Y axis and there are 1 or 2 screw rods to move in the Z axis. A bed slinger moves the print head in the X axis and the bed in the Y axis and the same-ish with the screw rod(s).

What is 3D printing? There are 3 main types of 3D printer with a few weird and wonderful off shoots like printing a house with concrete.

Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) printers:-
FDM printers use filament (typically 1.75mm) to print the model in layers using various materials (most commonly Polylactic Acid, PLA).

Resin printers:-
These printers use a liquid resin and cure each layer using different methods. The cheapest use a UV light source and a LCD screen, Masked Stereolithography (MLSA). Digital Light Processing (DLP) uses a projector and Stereolithography (SLA) uses lasers.

Sintering Printers:-
These use lasers to melt normally a powder and are called Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) but come under other terms as well like Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) and Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS).

FDM printers are the best entry level printers with a price range of £100 - £3,000. They are good all rounders.

Resin printers are a little more complex with a price range of £300 - £15,000 and are better for characters/figures (D&D etc.) but need more post production (cleaning and curing etc.)

Sintering printers are are more Pro and manufacturing and typically expensive. A Nylon powder one would cost £17,000 for the kit. Never found a price on the metal ones = very expensive.

Style & vibe

The music leans heavily into spiritual/cosmic/space ambient—lush synth pads, designed for deep listening: relaxation, introspection, or focus.

Some of the tracks use modern experimental synth sounds,
(sometimes structured around a deep melodic rhythm).

Thought I resurrect the old wallpapers thread but noticed the links are all dead anyway and it was for HD pictures.
I would assume people would want 2K & 4K pictures these days, I know I do. So here's my first go.

This my 1st attempt and is from the new ground based telescope called the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. Original image here. I have darkened it down and made it more blue to please my eye. Attached is the 1024 version.

Spurhold was once a prosperous and peaceful city that welcomed travellers and tradespeople from all around the world of Alocea. In time, however, it fell under the influence of a mage who was bent on power, and he corrupted the once-fair city.

A war ensued after the mage commanded attacks on cities to the north and south and into Alderdale to Spurhold's west. But these cities and towns were strong and withheld.

War continued for thirteen years with no clear victor emerging until the free people held a coordinated siege and attack, which ultimately sealed Spurhold's defeat and the vanquishing of the mage.

Spurhold was in ruins. The mage had fled, and over the following decades, the city fell into decay, lost to Alocea. The forest grew around it almost as if to hide and forget this sorry and dilapidated city.

Now, the time has come to explore Spurhold and brave its perils.

Are you brave enough?

You are a rising silent movie star who has appeared in several roles in various productions but has yet to reach the peak of your career, as you have held only supporting roles. You are reading scripts for some new proposals but feel you need a break to recharge your batteries.

This adventure sees you travel from your home in Arkham, USA, to the shores of Merry Old England. You inherited a large house from a distant relative with no heirs. It's May 1924, and your being between movies makes this diversion seem desirable.

Having only written correspondence from a solicitor, you do not know what awaits you, just that the house is in some disrepair. In any case, it's worth the trip to see the surroundings of the home, which is located in Exmoor – a part of the world that is worthy of travel in its own right.

Your liner, the Leviathan, departs from New York and will take you to Southampton, a port city on the south coast of England. With some glee, you wonder what England has in store for you!
