Title: Lake recovery
Post by: DD1975 on March 26, 2013, 19:57:34 PM
Now I know that recovering WW2 vehicles from lakes in russia has become quite commonplace in recent years, there are numerous videos of tanks being pulled out of lakes and bogs on Youtube, however I found this artricle more interesting as they know the exact date and mission and crew of the aircraft they have recovered:

Would be good to see the Sturmovik back in the air.

Cool.

Thought I'd just add a pic in case you can't remember what an IL-2 looks like.
