The new NIO (Nee-Oh)...ET5 is a car with a pretty innovative idea.
Sell it without an expensive battery, then just charge the consumer a modest fee every month (say the word, Subscription) of around $12 per and you should never be worried about charging or running out of charge since well...just watch the video.

One of the advantages of electric cars has to be the multiple ways of charging, many would say charging is the most negative side of EV ownership but I simply have to disagree.
Charge when shopping (often for free).
Rapid charge when stopping for a snack on a motorway/freeway.
Charge at night on cheap electricity at home.
Charge at a standard roadside charger.
Charge at one of the new super hubs.
Charge for free from your own solar array.
And now the possibility of swapping the battery in 5 mins. (It would suit some people I'm sure).
