...for faster, better, more efficient charging times.

We were on vacation (holiday) and drove by a grocery store. Along the edge of the parking lot were a dozen Tesla chargers, nicely spaced, looking futuristic and stylish.

We also noticed that 7 of the chargers had Teslas in front of them, charging and 5 of them had their owners sitting inside of the cars while it charged!

We shopped at a nearby store for almost 45 minutes then headed back, past that same parking lot. There were still 5 cars there with their owners sitting in them waiting for a charging cycle to complete.

How very inconvenient for a motorist to have to wait!!  No wonder there seems to be such a large number of non-adopters of EVs. The waiting might be great when shopping for groceries or in a department store, but having to sit in one's car while it charges, has to be a very painful and depressing ordeal.

In smaller countries, the range might prevent such episodes from happening but in larger states where travel might take a few hours to get to one's destination, I can see where the frustration would happen.

Hopefully, in the near future, they will come out with a faster method of charging or a more robust cell to cycle the charge or perhaps a new, completely different power source...

Therefore perhaps an owner of an Electric Motor Vehicle should be called a Motorist! Hmm...Curiouser and curiouser...

You should have spoken to the Tesla owners, I strongly suspect none of them would consider going back to ICE cars

I do hear your point but  a Tesla can add around 300 range with a 45 min charge (give or take) a 45 min rest doesn't sound unreasonable after driving 300 miles to me.

Also most people in most country don't do lots of miles, normally just a few, driving around town etc, those people will be well suited to EV's and have started adoption of the new tech. This will help keep pollution out of our towns and cities.

If people want to use ICE cars out of towns, well that doesn't sound too bad to me 

I absolutely agree with you, in fact, my daughter's boyfriend recently bought a new Tesla and he loves it! The car is really smart looking and futuristic as well.

Yes, the job I had required me to work/be anywhere inside the borders of my state, and there were days that I drove in excess of 300 miles total! Of course, they not only paid me a salary but also paid me by the mile, since I was using my personal vehicle. This really prompted to seek out my Hybrid Prius, which to my surprise I could actually fit into. I am 2.032 meters tall so I tend to look for a car that can fit me. The Prius has a tall sloping roofline allowing me about 4 - 5 inches of spare headspace as well as plenty of legroom and the steering wheel above my knees instead of between them as I found with many other brands.

That car made me money and it still sits in my driveway and is a joy to drive. At best, it got 69 miles per gallon on a one-hour trip to a contractor! I did take it a bit easy on it that day just to see what it could do. It also has plenty of power and never disappointed me on the coldest, snow-covered days during my working days.

No, things would absolutely NOT have worked for me in an EV, but my Hybrid allowed me to sail from one job to another while just sipping gas with its 1.8-liter engine.

We all find what works best for us during our journey.
