I thought this was a hoax, but it appears that it is for real...

No, it's a joke isn't it ?
It would be:
Easy to mug :fight:
Possible danger to aircraft.
It's only a matter of time before the delivery guy gets made redundant :o
No, Freddy, it's an April Fools type prank, along the same lines as Google's infamous ones. :D But it's so well made that it seems quite plausible, yes? :)
Ahh, really ? How did you find out it was a hoax... I did still have my doubts...just seemed a bit to impractical to be real.
Freddy the link is broken under the vid :(
I first heard about this via Google+, where there was another link. Let me see if I can find it.
Looks like I was wrong. Couldn't find the link I read, but some poking around on Amazon resulted in this page (http://www.amazon.com/b?ref_=tsm_1_tw_s_amzn_mx3eqp&node=8037720011).
LOL, yet another amazon link that isn't working.
Are you guys not checking them links after posting ?
My link worked fine yesterday :scratch-head:

I copied mine straight from the browser's address bar. :(
The link got translated to .co.uk, and that's why it doesn't work. Make the alteration to .com and it works just fine. :P
Ahh yeah, it's the Amazon Associates code that's breaking it.

That's the unaltered link.
Thanks Freddy, yes the site was changing the links.
Had you there for a while :P
Time to buy a new air rifle and bag be a 'copter and someone else's mail.
Air rifles could be chancy at best. How about one of these?

This is a nice little follow-on article, and seems to suggest that the Amazon drone is real!!!!

It's going to be funny to see how far this goes...either way :P
They can't have much payload or range. And I'd like to see the insurance claim form if one injures someone.

That's just a matter of time an development snowy, look at the range and payload of a Predator B for instance.
They've got Predators already, they're a bit big to fly around near human height.
So there would always be a payload limit.
Or just send it in a one way rocket. :o ;D

Merely an example snowy, it depends on how large they allow drones to get lets face it they can drive several tonnes of vehicle outside my front door!!!
