Title: NanoSail-D
Post by: Snowcrash on June 09, 2011, 20:07:12 PM
NASA has a solar sail in orbit at the mo. called NanoSail-D.

This is a pic of it over the Netherlands (http://www.spaceweather.com/submissions/large_image_popup.php?image_name=Marco-Langbroek-NanoSail_D_03062011_5d_1307145103.jpg) causing a flare.

This is a live tracking of it site. (http://www.n2yo.com/?s=90027)

I'm working on viewing times. Can only find USA times at the mo.

An illustration pic at APOD (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap110128.html).
And a real pic of it from 2008. (http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2008/26jun_nanosaild/)
