I want to live in this brave new world. There's bits of at least 3 movies/books in here. (blade runner, total recall, neuromancer)

"I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me."

Ralph Waldo Emerson

I really like the look of this, you are right though, not sure if we have seen this all before, still looks like a good bit of escapism. Any idea on a release date ?.  :)
It WILL be fine !...

Snowcrash

It's just a net short movie.

Found another one I liked.

I'm torn between excitement and abject terror! :o On the one hand, the whole, "simulated Jedi mind powers" might be cool, but the devices would open a rather wide door to addiction that would be VERY hard to close again.

Check out the Vsauce2 vid for where they're actually at with contact lenses.

But I think, one way or another, we are going to see wearable/embeded computers in the next few years. It'll take more like 20 to get to this sort, I rekon.

I'm hotly awaiting the next gen of touchscreens. The main thing I dislike about them is you are touching a flat piece of glass. There is some interesting tech but no on sale product as yet. iPad. Senseg.

Nice, based on the game obviously which sort of appealed to me - this makes nice use of the idea :)

I can think of a few handy situations for one of those portal guns :D
1) get to clients boat in no time flat
2) evasion of mother in-law  :Head-Slap: did I say that  :o
3) take the dog out to duty area, okay now I'm sounding lazy  :P

any one  got any uses?

DaveMorton

Shorter trips to the loo, perhaps? :D

Ok, NOW who's lazy?
