There was a serious unfortunate incident that happened unexpectedly.

A picture is worth a thousand words.  Yet, better to ask your permission first.

WARNING: The End of this True Story is disturbing, indeed.

Intriguing, permission granted but we reserve the right to edit anything that might be taking it too far (just in case)   ;)

Well, I guess I am OK with permission granted, but just in case, please Data, just don't ban me or give me a warning.  I have no objection to the post being edited or deleted.   If you decide to do that, then I accept it.  There is no need for an explanation.

Besides, I already feel kind of upset.  I say kind of because I know it was a wild critter, of course -- not the same as a pet by any means.   But, I enjoyed having an Opossum on my property, because it is a fascinating creature.

My guess is that it was a male, since there was never any sighting of young on its back.  I first saw him a couple of years back, when he triggered a motion detector to turn on my spot lights in the yard after dark.

Love that photo - the adult's expression is funny, like it's thinking Oh no what have I got myself into !
