Thought I resurrect the old wallpapers thread but noticed the links are all dead anyway and it was for HD pictures.
I would assume people would want 2K & 4K pictures these days, I know I do. So here's my first go.
This my 1st attempt and is from the new ground based telescope called the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. Original image here. (https://noirlab.edu/public/news/noirlab2412/) I have darkened it down and made it more blue to please my eye. Attached is the 1024 version.

Will post links soon.
Looks great Snowy 8)
Unfortunately the wallpaper gallery never made it over to the new look forum,
( compatability issues ).
I'm also concerned about the huge file size of 4K images, they will take a large amount of web space, I could adjust the file size limit to accommodate them but I'm not sure if I should.
We probably need a new type of gallery plugged into the site but at the moment I'm working on other things.
I'll think about it.
EDIT:
For now I've increased the maximum file size to attach to a post, you should be able to upload 4K images now, see how it goes
Here's the 4K file 3840x2160
Here's the 2x4K file 7680x2160 for 2 monitors side by side
Let's see if they are popular. Maybe we can setup a dropbox account and link from there. Or similar.
