Aaaah! THE GT40...

Snowcrash

We have a speed trials (1/4 mile drag race) in Brighton each year.
I have seen several of these lovely beasts at the event. Some real, some kit car versions.

Are you a fan of the Ford GT as well?

Thank you Snowcrash for watching. Yes, I'm a total fan. Fantastic vintage machine (I'm a vintage guy).

The "funny" thing is that, after a recent cerebrovascular accident, I think it's not reasonable to continue to drive my car.

Fortunately I have no GT40. Fortunately we have YouTube. ;D

Those GT40's are one sweet machine, and there sound is truly fabulous. wish I could get my 3000gt to sound that good.

Yes Syber, the sound of a Ferrari is "nobler" but...

DaveMorton

"nobler"? How about "petulant" and "Whiny"? The sound of the GT40 is, by far, the superior of the two, but I have to admit that I'm biased. I've been a huge Ford fan since birth. :D

Still, there's nothing on earth like the throaty, angry, almost barbaric growl/roar of the GT40.

I agree I like the sound of the GT40 over a Ferrari as well, Though I do like the sounds of most Farrari's

I always been a Mopar fan, to me ever since a young lad to me there is nothing like the roar of a 440 Hemi hosting a six pack [drool] :D
and the only reason I bought the Mitsubishi 3000gt was because it hosts a 3000 Chrysler DOC power plant  :D

I'm so sorry. I apologize. I wonder if a fan of the GT40 can (is allowed) to be a fan of Ferraris too...

DaveMorton

Nothing at all to be sorry for. We all have our likes and dislikes, and there's nothing at all wrong with that. :)

I agree with Dave, For I am fans of many automobiles myself   ;)

Fast car, quality driving, F1 drivers, what's not to like.

Good vid GT

If it looks good and it sounds nice does it matter what badge it carries GT?

Not enough driving on this but a nice vid nonetheless of my favorite Porsche, the 935:
