Title: Rebuilding an engine in under 2 and a half minutes.
Post by: Data on July 10, 2012, 17:16:47 PM
I received a link to this video from Dusky, the amount of work that the guy has put into it is mind boggling.

11 Months, 3000 pictures and a lot of coffee. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daVDrGsaDME#)

It got a thumbs up from me

I just got done doing an oil change which was only a minor pain, it hurt to see the rust creeping in, hopefuly a little white lithium grease will slow or stop it.  I loved the video, I had to slide around to try to identify some of the parts, I did notice a distrubutor cap, the caburators, exhaust intake manifolds.  Complete rebuild in 11 months.
I will say this about the newer cars, my car is 9 years old, for preventive maintence I'm going to change the spark plugs, air filter, gas filter and pcv valve.  I'm not sure what the spark plugs look like but I'm thinking they are still pretty good.  The car checks the exaust and changes input accordling.  Still holds all the fluids tight as a drum.
