Title: Just a few bars
Post by: Conrad on August 10, 2025, 14:54:00 PM
I enjoy tickling the ivories so here are some early experiments.
I've never recorded before so do excuse the blunders. With luck it should improve as time progresses.
Thanks to this site I now have motivation...

I like, nicely done Conrad

Sound quality is great  8)

The Sirius one sounds like a proper little track, what is that from? I don't recognise it.

Nice :)

Tubular Bells was something I liked to play with in Synths and Midi.

The Sirius track is from The Alan Parsons Project. I like the original but haven't sussed the vocals parts yet. I don't sing any more 🤭 and the SX hasn't the voices.

I learned the melody for tubular bells a long time ago which took ages to get the fingering and beat right. Ii used to put more into it back then but skill level has significantly lapsed through lack of use and practice 🥲.
It's difficult to put more into my pieces without sussing out the midi recorder whiich I'm now motivated to do, thanks guys.

I wouldn't even attempt to play tubular bells, the note timing is so alien to me, I'll stick to 4/4, it's about all my brain can handle

Good luck with the midi sequencer Conrad, I think once you gel with it you'll never look back.
