A very clever man indeed. Shame he was persecuted for being gay.
But I am at least as much in awe of Harry Flowers, the guy who built collosus. He's my unsung hero.
The code breaking efforts by the teams at Bletchly Park shortened the war and saved millions of lives, as well as laying the foundations for the computer age:

Turing was one of many very intelligent people working there, many others have never had their contributions ackowledged in quite the same way
