Cost of Li-ion batteries in 2020 not low enough for mass adoption of EVs: report

Despite technology improvements and growing industry scale, Li-ion electric vehicle batteries will cost $397/kWh in 2020, falling short of the $150/kWh target needed to reach the mass market, say experts.

But money will never be a problem for an electric formula one. ;)

But stopping 1/2 way through for a 12 hour recharge maybe a little boring!

2 words, Snowy: Spare Batteries! :)

We could have a new pit stop competition! Rather than how fast for a fuel top-off and a set of skins, how fast can they change out the battery banks and swap tires? :D
