What another USB already, I haven't used any of my USB 3 yet.
So it's:
Called USB Type-C
Will have a smaller plug size
Twice the speed of USB 3
Can supply more power
And isn't one way up connectable either :D

I had a feeling I had missed something, well spotted  :)
There are USB A,B mini and micro plugs, also A USB 3 and possibly B.
The new plug is C, the new electronics would be USB4 I guess.

That sounds better if nothing else.
They seem to put .0 after everything these days so maybe USB 4.0 ;D
Adding numbers to that sort of thing is so last millennia. I think that another approach is called for. What about USB 4.linguini, or Windows 9.oh_shyte_not_again! ? :P
QuoteApple's Lightning connector is already reversible
From the article.
Makes me want to say na na nana na and PC users have the brain to turn the plug over or even know which way up the plug is 'cos there's only ever the logo on one side.
But I wont. Doh!
Will revisable plugs change your life?
How about USB 4FQ! (something... Quick)
Windows 9 ThisIsWhatYouWant
Windows 9 WhatDOYouWant?
Windows 9 IfYouInsist

Somehow I doubt that, Syber. USB 2.0 has been around for 13 years+, and has been the default in motherboards and add-on cards since that time. If you had USB 1.0/1.1, your OS would be complaining about it six ways from Sunday. :P
2 of my usb drives are usb one Dave, they are very old. However I have not used them in years as they are small in size less than a gig. just for kicks I plugged one into my lappy wich has a Vista 64bit OS and it worked :D
note: have not tried it on desktop.
