This is a nice article that should stir some debate

Cool stuff! I would love to get my hands on much of that tech! :)

At the current rate of development I can see this all being superceded very quickly!!!

Still cool though  8)

Nice article, I think.

Some people in my state here in the US are in an uproar over the installation, usage and recording of passengers' conversations while riding Mass Transit Buses! In this state it is against the law to record a person's conversation without their knowledge or consent but it seems that our attorney general thought it was a good idea so it passed. The microphones will be in effect until the issue can be voted on during the "FOLLOWING YEAR". Imagine that!!

There are CAMERAS watching everyone, everywhere much like it likely already is in the UK and much of Europe. Now it's coming to a state near us.

It's beginning to look and feel a lot like Minority Report, Eagle Eye and Enemy of the State more and more each day!! :-X

You have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide.

I want a device that makes my face pixilated when a camera looks at me.  8)

Wouldn't that be just a bit... Um... Painful ? ? ?

The first line is a quote from somewhere. And I don't actually agree with it.

As for the pixilated bit. Anyone with an eyeball Mk1 would be able to see me as normal, painful or otherwise. I want something that effects electronics and screws with them.

Well, that part's easy, snowy, if not exactly "safe". Just pull a magnetron from a microwave oven, rig up a reflector dish about 6-8 inches across, and zap the poor bastages from about 8 to 10 feet back. Just make sure they don't have a pacemaker, is all. :P

Hmmm. I like your thinking.
Just doing a calculation for the size of batteries I need and how to insulate myself from the 2,000 volts.

Think I may get arrested for looking like a jihadist.

@ DD1975, Nice article! I liked the Insect Car. Of course I'd likely need to remove the seat and sit on a pillow in order to drive it. Wonder if the face recognition feature works well in the fog or rain? Could one hold a life-sized photo of another face and trick it? Anybody tried this that has an Kinect?

@ Snowcrash - Yes...I swear officer...this vest filled with wires and sophisticated electronics in only a fun experiment I'm trying.... || Sure it is...Come along with me! :D
