Hello All.               

Instead of my real name, which is no big secret, I prefer to use my registered domain name, 8pla. net as my handle.    At this domain, you can find my chatbot, which is free of advertisements, and I have many more online, which I may be able to tell you more about when I have the privilege of doing so.                 

I had some questions initially, but by looking around I may have found some answers on my own.   So I edited this post, rather than start a new one.   This is a nice forum package.    It works very smoothly.   And it is amazing that it has been online for so long.

No problem with using your domain name as your handle if that's what you want to do , you can however change your display name in your profile settings if you wish to.

Yes you worked out that Legion will not reply to any posts, that's not one of her jobs yet, however in time it might become one, especially now you have arrived. 

I'm a big fan of SMF forums, they do run smooth and fast, also I have the site housed on some quality webspace that helps keep it quick too.

Hi 8pla, sorry for the delay in my welcoming you only I've been a little distracted of late. I'm Diesel, I'm like that Special Relative that all families have, you know the one, only allowed out on special occasions, has to be supervised at all times for the sake of everyone's sanity and then has to leave early.

Decorum, I know what you mean and appreciate the thought 8pla

As Dave said we are a pretty laid back bunch where almost anything goes, within reasonably family safe content , find something on the web that interests you, post about it here on DH and spread the word, working on a project? tell us about it, something on your mind? run it by us if you like. That's about it.

You will find that as your post count increases other features will become available to you, so if a feature is visible to you then go ahead and use it, that's why they are there. A fair website wouldn't give you the option to use something then tell you off for using it 

You should now be able to use smilies and post links.
