Funny how time flies, Data started this thread four years ago now. Look how much faster our PCs are now 

  WEI  7.3   in Win 8 slowest is the graphics, Nvidia Gforce GTX 250, bought it because at the time the processor alone cost over $500.  It has the hot swappable disks which comes in handy.
I can't find a WEI in win 8.1.

Windows 8.1 did away with WEI scores, Carl. Well, that's not exactly true, but they've made it harder to find. This article outlines how to access the tool, though I have yet to try it.

I just followed the instructions in that article on my Windows 8.1 virtual machine and here are the results:

It's on a VM, so doesn't need to take up the room or resources that the 64 bit version uses up.
