Title: Mouse
Post by: DD1975 on June 23, 2016, 20:35:11 PM
So it looks like I've had another mouse give up on me (dunno what I do to them  :scratch-head:)

Question, wired or wireless?

They have got over the problem with wireless, battery life, they last well now, so I would have to say wireless for the freedom of no cable connected.

I've noticed that some of the wireless mice now come with a tiny USB receiver that sits in the USB port, that might cause problems if it's plugged into the back of the PC, could give a bad wireless signal, watch out for that.

That's the way I use it, with the receiver in the back of the PC and its been fine until today but now its freezing.

Batteries are pretty new so I don't know what's causing it, tried changing batteries but now effect. Plugged in my old one which was not in great shape but its working as a stop gap.

Might try pugging in at the front of the PC see if it makes any difference.

To be fair I do buy them cheap so I'm not surprised they don't last too long  :D

Yeah something wrong with the receiver on the mouse I think, putting on the front of the tower made no difference.

I've ordered a new one, same make I think and was £13 if it doesn't last too log its not the end of the world at that price.
