This CPU caught my eye today, it's a quad core with 8Mb cache and none of that half hearted on-board graphics, this thing only takes 69w too.
It's aimed at the server market but it's basically the same silicon as the i7 Ivy Bridge CPU.
If I was building myself a new PC today I think I would seriously consider it, a bit more research might be needed first.

Had a look into this and it's a quad core, 22nm Ivy Bridge that does not hyper thread (4 threads). So more on par with an i5p but with 8MB of cache.

It turbos better too (3.5 rather than 3.3GHz).
