I had an up-date in for flash today, since I installed it IE is behaving better, mainly you can now scroll through the videos on one of our pages here and it doesn't stop on a video like it used to.

I believe the latest version of flash is now better in Windows 8 too, more compatible, at least that's what I have been told.
