I wonder how user friendly this will be if used with 7 ?.

Anyone care to hazzard a guess as to how long it will be before the older versions of Office go the same way as XP !!!.  :scratch-head:
It WILL be fine !...

This is a Win8 thing really. I feel M$ have shot themselves in the foot as most offices will not be touchscreen.
My office isn't even widescreen. When I do stuff at the office, I normally have 3-5 excel files open at the same time. The girls do this and about 3-4 other programs.

But what do I know. Time and sales will tell.

I have never fully understood the pricing structure of office, today I can buy:

Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 Complete package for £190

or

Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 - Complete Package for £90

I will be using the softwear at home but they both have home in the title  :scratch-head:

I never bothered, I just use Open Office.   :P

What's open office like these days? the last time I tried it, it seemed very bloated  and slow in operation.

Freddy

Pretty quick.  I have it on the SSD.

I been using Open Office as well, and love it. You should give it a try Data before you buy either of the Office suites from M$, you might end up saving a few $ :D

Data

Yeah I agree, it's time I gave Open Office another go
