It's not just about faster hardware is it?

A combination of hardware and clever coding is how we are going to get there, still waiting to see anything close to this in gaming though, this tech seems to take a long time to trickle down.

Yes I was thinking that too. Takes a lot of time to make a game these days, so you have to figure that in.
