I know a few of us here are interested in batteries and we have talk about the technology in various threads, I've made this thread to help us explore the topic in its many forms.

Found this link. I know this is pie in the sky but their figures for super caps are very high.

Current tech is Maxwell at 6Wh/kg (Tesla batteries 230-248Wh/kg)
