Title: Gamers Racing Seat
Post by: Diesel on June 06, 2011, 12:38:23 PM
Whilst digging around for some little gems for the BTCC, I stumbled across this. No idea if anyone has visited this site before, but if you have a few grand kicking around.

My other half wouldn't let me have something like this  :-[

Snowcrash being a young, well not so young  ;),  free and single bloke has one, not the same make though and I don't think his cost that much.

These look good and are about £330-£375

I have a game racer pro from about £265 (I actually have an older model that cost £240) and they also do an elite at £325 that can take a rumble thumper thingy (extra cost of about £200)

All prices do not include the wheel.

I did see that the sky's the limit with regard to what you wanted, they even have a replica Formula 1 steering wheel with replica Carbon Fibre for over £2000. :o Enjoy.

Come on Snowcrash, you know you want one. :flag:

£2000 for me would be a stonking gaming PC.

What I want is seat of the pants movement.

The top one is good but there's a newer version that can move continuous 360 so corners never end on the stop limits of the machine. The better version is about $100,000.

The ones these guys use are about £20,000 each

Can we get 10 people together? If we can it's £45 each for 3 x 15 mins racing plus training etc (2.5 hrs total)

The ones at Gatwick are more limited in their movement than the cool one at the top of the video.

I have a mate who did a works outing to the Gatwick place. Will ask him what he thought.

Sounds like a plan. :P

That link you posted about those other Racing Seats, they are truly awesome. I guess they must be air operated. ( I was going to put pneumatic, but I can't spell pneumatic.) I am by no means a great fan of Racing games, in fact I own one and am still trying to get out of the Pit Lane some 18 months later. Oh yea' I'm good, but, I think, once a few Bob has rolled in from our Shuttle venture, I might treat myself to one of these. ;D

Get the game F1 2010 and a decent joypad controller and you'll be driving like a rookie F1 driver in no time, to reach Lewis Hamilton's skill level will take a bit longer
