Correction: I try to join Steam. ;D

Because the only "game" I play is "Flight Simulator", and because the CD number four must stay in the CD drive when I play, and because I have an external drive for my netbook (not very handy in my bed), THE solution seems to be Steam.

Name, password... but impossible to connect. A search on Google says I'm not alone. Not my problem, so I uninstalled Steam. I know I'm not a gamer. At least I saved some money. :D

Data

That's a shame GT  :(

A few of us here do use Steam most days, we could have become your friends on it.

If you change your mind visit the gamers area on our site, we have a Steam games question thread in there

GT40

Many thanks Data. I don't know where the problem is located (my provider?). Finally there is no problem. I'm not a gamer... :D

Surprise! I changed my username, redid everything and now Steam works! And I immediatly bought Flight Simulator X Steam Edition. Today the sky is intensely blue for planes... :) :) :)

Terrific! In the chance that you would like to add us all as friends, I'll offer my Steam username: GCCDave. Feel free to add me if you like. :)
Safe, Reliable Insanity, Since 1961!

Thank you Dave. So sorry (I'm a newbie). I only found GCC (friendship asked).

BTW my username on Steam is: flight250 ;)

Data

The only way I can get to Dave is to find "Dave Morton".

GT, flight250 says no users found  :(

Try me I'm "datahopa"

DaveMorton

Oops? That's because I gave the wrong username, Data. In Steam, I'm geekcavecreations. I have WAY too many game clients these days. :-\

Oops, Steam is a strange place. I must admit that, with my W7 netbook, I don't exist, but with my little 8.1 machine all is running fine (my dear XP computer is now out of order). ???

No, THE real problem is here: in the previous century, with my W98 computer, I enjoyed to fly between the Twin Towers of NY. Now it's impossible. Since I'm on Steam, now I need a Shoot 'Em Up Game, to exterminate all that shitty people. An idea? :very-angry:

Data

I'm not really in to Shoot 'Em Ups but Quake Live is free to play on Steam

I prefer a good old racing game  :driving:

Or a mystery game these days.

Currently playing "Murdered Soul Suspect" it's a spooky game where you have to find the killer, pretty good  :)

GT40

Thank you Data. I will try Quake. The big problem is this game is a game, a game only. In real life, no doubt that nobody wants to stop them (sure they will win, at least in Europe). Tomorrow is another day... :o
