Really great pond Dave   That water lilly is doing so well, we never get them that big in my parents pond. I could just about see some tiny fish darting around I think unless I was imagining it ! I'm guessing that black fish could be a carp or possibly a large black goldfish.

We had some roach in ours but we think the Heron got them this year. The Koi we have (grown from babies) are too big for the Heron, they are massive.  I'll take the camera over there at some point.

Thanks, Duskie. We haven't got any turtles, but there are at least two frogs that I know of, that can be heard every night. Funny thing is, I've never seen them, since they hide under the lily pads whenever anyone nears the pond.

I was curious as to when I posted this as I have only three left now. They lived a long time - usually the life expectancy for these live bearers is a couple of years, so I must be doing something right with my filtering and care.

Time to get some new fish soon.
