I've been watching The New Avengers and The Saint on ITV 4, there is something to be said for the oldies, not sure what :D
But I do think the Theme Tunes we better back then.

I have this in my favourites...

Certainly no mistaking the advent of synths is there

Some good choices there Freddy :)
Doctor Who has to be one of the most iconic
Found this vid off all the Doctor Who theme tunes, is it just me or do they slowly get worse with every newer version, with the movie version being the worst of them all and the first or second being the best.

Orbital did a version too I believe.
Good find, listened to all of them ;D
Yes the first couple were the best, though I don't mind the Matt Smith one. The period around Sylvester McCoy was dismal in all respects... and of course I grew up with Tom Baker so I still like the tune at his time as it's the first one I heard.
I liked the different Doctor themes. The first 4 were broadly the same. I think 2 and 3 were the end credits rather than the beginning.
They seem to get more sequenced as time goes on. I like the analogue feel of the first ones.
The Matt Smith one has got that feel back again, though with an orchestral take on it.
And, of course, Orbital did this too. Here's the Glastonbury version.

I remember watching the Saint and the original Avengers when I was a kid, and (of course) I'm a huge Dr. Who fan these days. Airwolf was ok, but not entirely my favorite. Musically speaking, however, this was at the top of my list, and still makes for a great "driving song" (for about a minute or so) :)

That Orbital one is so good, that's a stage show if ever there was one
Good pick Dave, I was a big fan of that show 8)
Since we're going through Dr. Who there was also the KLF novelty one. This actually got to number one in the UK.

How about this?

This always reminds me of when I was a kid :)

Blast from the past. Reminds me of my Mum (I think she fancied him).
How about the good ol' boys?

Hehe used to love that
Remember the living room back in the 70s on a Sunday evening, after you've had your tea, which might have been a nice roast ?
! No longer available (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8u5NgC4lZ8s#)
I don't remember Black Beauty being on Sunday evenings, for some reason I thought it was on weekdays, didn't really watch it to be honest but I remember the theme tune :)
How about this, I liked the show, "computer" was my favourite character, ask it a question and it would print the answer out on a small piece of paper from the wall ;D

I don't actually remember watching it, I think we turned over after the music stopped.
My Nan liked it I remember.
Space 1999 was great - I fancied the lady who could change form - with the funny eyebrows.
I made an Airfix model of their ships - thought it was so cool.
Necropost. :hunting:
You might recognise the young lady being interrogated. HmM ?

I "might", but I don't. It's neither Liz nor Maggie, and I'm pretty sure Kate wasn't even born when that was filmed, nor is it Liz Perreau or Mrs. Data (who were also not born yet when that was shot), so that exhausts the list of English women that I "know". :P
Dave, made me laugh
I think I might know her, it's M before she got promoted to 007's boss.
I'm going for:
Dame Judi Dench
Points go to Data :sign-yes:
Do folks remember this ? I only ever saw parts of Twin Peaks - I was too busy going to movies and gigs around that time and music occupied me the most. I will have to look for a box set and see what I missed.

I remember watching some Twin Peaks, it left me confused and disorientated, still not sure if I have fully recovered :D
Twin Peaks plays on Hulu, I just came across the Matrix which I'm watching.

Remember this?
Sunday nights, bath time and hair washed, sitting all clean in front of the telly :)

Oh yes how could I forget that, great show of it's time 8)
I remember looking forward to watching it but it also meant I had school the next day and I really didn't like my school days, it summons up some mixed emotions for me.
