Snowcrash

I've seen quite a lot about Tesla running out of money and being in manufacturing hell. I hear they're losing $8000 per minute. That's over and above running costs and sales.
I think it's due to being a start up company not an established car manufacturer. Nissan can soak up the R&D cost of a new model easier then Tesla.
Tesla are not punting the model S as they're over subscribed and are having trouble getting them out of the door quickly enough. They make more money on the model X and roadster.
This coming year will see Tesla either make a profit, require a cash injection or go bust. Seeing as it's turnover is very respectful I doubt it will go bust. On paper they're looking Ok but their cash flow sucks. They need more units out of the door.

Go Elon, Go.

Elon Musk has so much going on I don't know how he does it.  He's getting into AI which I guess he'll use for driving his cars, it's a big thing.  He has a very good feel for things needed or wanted,  He already has money but money needed to keep the company running is another thing.

Time is going to tell with Tesla but how can something that is so much fun not succeed, it would be a massive shame, people want the cars and I can't help thinking that if there is a market for a product then it will succeed in the long run.

Forever an optimised for EV's me, they put a smile on your face unlike any other cars, time for a bit of Tesla fun and smiles.  :)

I found this which I don't think is a good video but it's the best I could find

I'd seen that vid, actually I've been following the Tesla stocks also, it's pretty much a we'll see from where I stand.  Musk is up to too much to be able to keep track of him.  Rather funny but I wouldn't to be able to buy a Tesla since I'm a do it yourself type of person, Tesla won't sell parts for there cars and work has to be done by Tesla or maybe an authorized garage.

Thanks, enjoyed that one. Hmm, is...is Elon Musk Iron Man ?

DaveMorton

I'm sure he would be, if there was an IronMan. Except that Tony Stark had a carefully staged misogynistic persona, and we don't see that with Mr. Musk, so maybe he's secretly a super villain instead? :P :D

 I'm sure some other cars manufacturers do see Mr. Musk in that light. Oh no the electric car is coming and we are years behind  :scratch-head: what about all our oil shares  :eeeek:  time for some dirty tactics and misinformation spreading

The batteries all explode  :tick:

The batteries will degrade very quickly (you will be lucky if they last 3 years)  :tick:

You can't charge them anywhere  :tick:

They are unreliable  :tick:

You will see them all over the place broken down with flat batteries   :tick:

They don't have enough range for every day use   :tick:

They are no greener than gas powered cars  :tick:

Global warming is a hoax anyway  :tick:

The pollution we breath in our towns and cities isn't as bad as they make out  :tick:

The electricity is made from dirty coal   :tick:

We are going to have "really clean coal" forget the last 4 ticks  :tick:

The future is oil and coal, it will last for ever and a day  :tick:
