LOL Snowy, you make it sound almost impossible, here you go Freddy, chargers near you

You would simply find a few chargers you like and use them, really simple  :)

Freddy

Yeah but no but yeah but no but...

Doesn't it take a while to charge ? Can I really safely leave it there overnight ?

Freddy

All of those are some distance from me too. Like Norwich is a half hour trip.

Data

Hehe mate, you would charge it for an hour or so, go for a walk or do some shopping, that's what I do, the longest I have ever charged is about 2 hours, they charge pretty quick these days.

Like I said you would find a charger near you, there probably is one near by, if you look.

Freddy

Nope, according to their map there are none in Dereham. The closest one is 20 minutes away.

It's not like Brighton here mate, you can't wander off and do some shopping - you're lucky if you find a cow to talk to for 2 hours

Fields and more fields !

The closest one seems to be a hotel up the A47 and I'm not sure they would want me rolling up every day or two. I assumed it would be for customers. And since there's only one everyone is going to be fighting over it

I think I will wait a while until they catch up with Brighton.

Data

Sounds like you would be lucky to find a petrol station

Freddy

Haha

Well this is their map. Dereham is the red dot. The blue charger is the one I am talking about. Roughly 20 minutes away and nothing to do there.

But anyway, I can wait. I'm sure the local supermarkets will install them at some point - in fact I think the Tesco's has one, but it's not shown on this map.

As with a lot of places we don't really have many places to shop now. At least not the kind of places you can browse like we used to.

Can the chargers do more than one car at a time ?

Freddy

Sorry...map...

There is a BP petrol station near you, BP are fitting chargers now, shouldn't have to wait that long.

Most chargers can charge 2 cars at the same time and many charging locations have more than one charger. Even in Brighton where there are plenty of electric cars I've never had trouble finding a free charger.

I should think its all tractors and horses out your way, you would be one of the first to go electric  ;)

Freddy

Yes a new petrol station was built not so long ago - they may well have them.

I've yet to see an electric car around here, but people are talking about them. So it's just a matter of time.

Most people get around on Penny Farthings around my way, 'tis a common sight.

Lots of farmland there, when I was young my parents moved to the country where I lived till I finished school.  A small lake in back of the house for swimming and skating was nice. School much smaller also nice.

Talking about BP petrol stations having chargers installed, I just heard on EV News Daily that BP have started rolling out these new mobile chargers, they are rapid chargers (would charge my Leaf from 20 to 80% in about 15 mins) They are free to use for now, so keep an eye open for them.

Nice video, nice to see there are some people with enough money to go out and buy the Tesla's.  Trucks and SUV's seem to be the most popular cars around here, we don't even see ads for ev's.
