  I like this better than EV News, glad that Tesla has so many cars under it's belt.  I just saw some ads for a hybrid car on tv which is a move in the right direction.

The car park at ours is usually half empty so they should have plenty of space. It's a truly massive car park, it's not that the store is unused.

The question here is, where should the chargers be placed within the lot? I don't think that they should get "special placement", like handicapped spots do, but I also don't think that they should be shunted off to one side, creating an inconvenient walking distance for EV users. What do you lads think?

I suppose it depends on the location, but yes they should not take precedence over the handicap spots etc. Since (for now) it seems that the service would be free, then I don't think it's too much to ask for people to walk a bit further. We're so lazy these days 

For some of us, it's not "lazy", but I get your point. My "idea" is to have the chargers able to service up to 4 parking slots, but only one at a time, thus giving EV users the ability to park close, but unable to "hog" all of the best locations. this, of course, could lead to non-EV users taking up all of the available charging slots, but if there are sufficient chargers, the only real inconvenience would be that longer walk.

There's nothing to stop them making some of the spots handicap only - so people who can't get around so easily can still charge their cars but nearer to the store. It makes sense to me

Normally they just pick a few standard parking spaces, put up signs and markings on the bays, I'm not too bothered where in the carpark they are as long as they don't get ICE'd.
